SIMBEX  2024

  • The Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) is a significant naval collaboration between India and Singapore, with the 31st edition taking place from 23 to 29 October 2024 in Visakhapatnam.
  • This year, the Republic of Singapore Navy Ship RSS Tenacious arrived on 23 October to participate in the exercises.

HISTORY & OBJECTIVES OF SIMBEX

  • Inception: SIMBEX began in 1994 as ‘Exercise Lion King’.
  • Evolution: Over the years, it has evolved into a vital maritime collaboration between the Indian Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), increasing in both scope and complexity.
